When an Iranian airline goes to a foreign airport, it needs fuel, handling, parts, repairs, insurance, banks and dozens of service companies. When that airline is sanctioned, each of these companies should ask themselves a simple question: Is cooperation with Iran really worth the risk of US sanctions? This is where the real pressure begins. It is possible that no country officially has the right to land an Iranian plane, but the fuel company does not supply fuel, does not provide handling services, the bank does not settle or the insurer withdraws. With these conditions, flying is no longer possible or not possible at all. The next step could be the reduction of the network of foreign flights of Iranian airlines. After that, some countries may even directly restrict the entry of sanctioned Iranian planes. But the most important part of the story is for the photo. If the American pressure reaches service, banking, insurance and airport companies inside Iran, foreign airlines will have to calculate how much the Iranian market is worth to them. If the answer is that it is not worth the risk, first the number of flights will decrease and then some airlines will leave Iran altogether. That is, the final scenario is not only the sanction of Iran's airline. It could be the gradual isolation of Iran's air network. Not that all flights will be canceled tomorrow. The services required for the flight are limited, so that the flight to or from Iran becomes more expensive and risky every day.
