Key points

  1. 01Choose Onchain mode: you trade from your own wallet.
  2. 02Connecting lets the app see your balance; every payment still needs your yes.
  3. 03Signing in is a free signature: no password, nothing moves.
Try it on SorooshX

SorooshX Onchain is self-custody: your money stays in your own wallet and SorooshX never holds your keys. That makes the first two minutes the most important ones.

  1. Get the real app. Download only from sorooshx.com/download, which links to the App Store and Google Play. Copies of our name and logo exist; a link in a DM, a group or an ad is not a safe source.
  2. Use a new wallet for trading. Install MetaMask or Trust Wallet from your phone's official store and create a new wallet. A wallet with unknown history can carry risk from transactions you never made.
  3. Back up the 12 words on paper. Write the recovery phrase down, in order, and keep it somewhere safe. No screenshots, no photos, no notes app, no cloud, no chat. Anyone with those words can take everything in the wallet. SorooshX will never ask for them.
  4. Connect. Open SorooshX, switch the top pill to Onchain and tap Connect Wallet. Choose your wallet and check the request comes from sorooshx.com before you approve it. SorooshX works on Arbitrum One.
  5. Sign in. Your wallet then asks you to sign a short message that starts "sorooshx.com wants you to sign in". Signing is free and does not move money.
  6. Know the red flag. A sign-in never asks you to send tokens or approve spending. If you see "spending cap", "approve" or "unlimited" while logging in, reject it.
  7. Take the safety quiz. Seven short questions on wallet safety. Answer them and you're ready.

Visual: the "Connect vs Sign vs Approve" card (three columns: what it is, does it cost gas, can it move funds).

Check yourself: (1) Where do you download SorooshX? (2) Is a sign-in signature free? (3) A login asks for an unlimited USDC spending cap. What do you do?
