(2/8) TAO 🤔 What does Subnet mean in the Bittensor project? ‼️ One of the most important parts of Bittensor is its subnets. 💭 Imagine Bittensor as a huge “AI city.” Inside this city, each Subnet works like its own specialized “company” or department. 💭 For example, one subnet focuses only on AI text generation, another on image generation, another on GPU power, another on AI-powered search, and another on language models. 👉🏻 Instead of the whole network doing only one thing, the project is divided into specialized sectors. 👈🏻 🪙 So what is an Alpha Token? 🟢 Each subnet has its own independent economy. People can invest in that subnet, stake in it, and potentially profit from its growth. 🔵 That’s why every subnet has its own dedicated token called an Alpha Token. ‼️ Why subnets matter: 👉🏻 The future of Bittensor heavily depends on the success of these subnets. If powerful and useful subnets are built, the entire TAO ecosystem becomes stronger. 🔹️ This system became even more important after the Dynamic TAO update. 🤔 So what did Dynamic TAO change? 🟢 This update introduced Alpha Tokens for each subnet, changed the staking system, and shifted reward decisions from validators to the market itself. 🔵 At the beginning of the Dynamic TAO update, subnet rewards were mostly determined by the price of Alpha Tokens. 🟢 Later, an update called Taoflow was introduced, which stated that price alone was not enough; actual capital inflow into the subnet also mattered. 👉🏻 This means that real TAO inflow, staking volume, and capital movement became more important than simply a token’s price increase. #tao #sorooshx #Project_introduction #ethan #subnet
