In my opinion, more than the $9 billion that was liquidated, the credit and trust in this market as a backing for investment have been lost, which was worth much more than that $9 billion. Those who are already invested in this market and somewhat entangled in it have diminished its appeal for newcomers. As a result, gold may regain its status as a reliable investment source and become even stronger.
